Is there something like it that someone does have in stock?

This seems to be the "seacamp" of knives....

Spyderco Delica with licensed Emerson wave

Similarities:
3" blade
Licensed emerson wave (it really does work)
Excellent steel
Insanely sharp

Plus:
It's a helluva lot cheaper than the emerson.
Does not have a tactical look (which is a bonus for me).
The clip is reversible and can mount at either end.
You can get a trainer too.
The plastic is very grippy and hasn't worn down - which seems to happen to certain G10 knives.
And (I know it's heresy to some) but I swear the build quality is higher than any of the 3 Emersons I have.

Problem is, it has to be under 3" to be legal....

For what it's worth, mine is @ 1/8" short of 3". I have a lovely picture here, but I can't upload it.

They have what you're looking for in stock at that same place - but with serrated / satin blade. One in stock.

If the length is an issue, a nice finger looped bird and trout knife with a tiny blade feels and handles like a much longer knife in the hand.

Tom, unless the jurisdiction specifically prohibits fixed blades.

+1 for the Spyderco Delica. Both the waved and the non-waved are under 3 inches.

Another good rating for the delica. Not that the Emerson isn't nice, but the Spyderco line is extremely high quality and matches the quality of high end knives at half the price or less. They're absolutely awesome. I'm also not as big a fan of 154 Carbon Steel simply because I don't like coated blades. Their finish tends to come off too easily for my taste.
