See that's where I think the word but comes to play and helps a lot, there are actual tactics that can help this and I feel that, "but" helps control it a lot. Next time your in a moment like this try it.

Not one mention of the litany from Frank Herbert's "Dune"? For shame, my fellow geeks...for shame.

Just so the few who don't know it understand what I mean...

"I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain."

It's a nice thought, but when I'm afraid it's because I think too much...too much about what could happen, what is happening, what has happened in the past.

I need to learn how not to think so much.

Fear is the Mindkiller is a great Fear Factory album.

    Also, Fear Factory are awesome.

Also, courage is not the absence of fear, it is the action in spite of the fear. Or should that be "despite the fear"? I'm tired.

ive never been afraid to fight anyone outside of training . the only thing that comes to mind when i fight someone outside the gym is whats the worst that can happen. the worst that can happen is that i get fucked up which happens to kids all the time playing football and ****. i just yell something like ill **** you up and tell my self im gonna win. that gets me pumped. i just fight and dont hold back with which is probably impossible when you have all that adrenaline.

I use an old Korean ninja training method, by taking "heroic" doses of hallucinogenic mushrooms out in the wilderness you face your true fear, and in my case true fear looks like an old lightining struck oak tree that vaguely resembled Rosie O'donnell
