Dude was he really 80?
It's been about 15 years or more since I did Karate, but it's cool watching that as Naihanchi was my favourite kata, anyone know what style he was doing? I learned it in Wado Ryu where it was taught after the Pinan katas and Kushanku, but was aware that other styles did it too, and there are a few differences in the way he did it. Was he showing parts of Pinan Nidan too there?
I gotta say, too; is Krav Maga really in a position to laugh at Karate? -

Simply, Krav Maga is the new Karate. Krav Maga is pretty good but the vast majority of the pple who do it suck ass. Like some other military arts that are now in the civilian sector the civies doing it are NOT doing it like it is done in the military that spawned it. They don't seem to understand that the people who made Krav Maga bad ass trained there butt off as if their life depended on it, and it did. They weren't going to a strip mall a few nights a week (which is the ONLY physical activity many of them do) and thing they are on the same level as the IDF Commandos they idolize.
I actually like Krav Maga but I've found very few places that train it worth a damn and the ones that did also offer........MMA!!!! The others, like the ones ran out of an ATA school, were little more than cardio kickboxing. It kills me how its marketed to women as a great SD system but again they are not training like the people who made it a great SD system. Maybe I'm biased. My first actual Krav Maga experience (after LMAO at JLO in ENOUGH) was AWESOME! It was a 2 day seminar geared to Bodygaurds taught by two former IDF soldiers. It was intense, painful, and made sense. From then on I went to classes where available on other seminars around Europe. I come back to the states and head to the first Krav Maga school I find and it was nothing like I had experienced. Then when it comes to the internet you have all the nutthuggery by people who probably suck ass. And the Instructors are even worse. You mainly get some TKD who goes and does a week long class and BAM he is not a certified KM Instructor! You get women the same way who now think they can drop any man easily regardless of his size or background! (Anyone remember that dumb bitches name form the KFM forums)______
