Umm, you are reading it wrong. A lower number means the art requires MORE physicality. I would agree that Judo and Freestyle wrestling require more physicality than BJJ, I can halfway take a nap in a BJJ match and still win. Try that in wrestling or judo and you'll be eating the mat in no time.
WC also requires very little in the way of physical prowess. I would have given it lower marks in striking and clinching, but overall that list doesn't seem horribly inaccurate.

Ok, the phy part you are right. Even though is it write to place krav maga higher than arts like bjj or mma?
I though it that the most dojos were turning mcdojo style, but i could be wrong.
Also is he right when in the kickbox text he states that you can't grap an incoming leg like sanshou?
And an other one. In the jap. jujutsu it's stated :
A good BJJ practitioner once told me that everything you learn in BJJ up until the blue-belt level, you can make good usage of for self-defense, from blue-belt to black-belt (note: blue-belt in BJJ is only the second belt you get, it goes: white-blue-purple-brown-black) you learn advanced techniques that will help you beat other grapplers
Does this stand up as well?Last edited by Chado; 5/14/2010 5:00pm at .

"As you might have noticed, I did not give Jeet Kune Do any real ratings, other than the overall rating, this is because Jeet Kune Do is not a martial art in that sense, Jeet Kune Do is what you make of it. It can be the best thing in the world, or it can be the worst thing. The overall rating is basically just a rating for the concept of Jeet Kune Do." That's what he said anyways

I've heard the same thing from a friend who was a purple belt (or is? not sure if hes gotten higher). Don't do it myself though, so can't say for sure.
While the order isn't perfect it could be a lot worse. And reading through his write ups on each style, he does emphasize aliveness/sparring. -
