Demonstrating the edge geometry/sharpness over the wide grip's use of leverage? Just a guess...

People of larger stature and great strength will be able to wield that awesome sword with ease .

Well ...so said the man of larger stature chopping pigs .

Seems like a better grip for letting the weight of the weapon do all the work (especially the weapon in question). Seems good for cutting demos, but not for cutting a person because the recovery if you miss would take longer.

Leaving a sword by front door just ensures that anyone kicking down your door is going to be better armed than they were before they kicked down your door.
    3) again, yes this looks like a badass battle blade, but I'd do more damage to my furniture, walls and door frames swinging that at any would-be home invaders or burglars than I would if I just unloaded on them with some 00 buckshot. I would think short to medium sized swords would be much better for indoor use than a sword designed to be used on a medieval battle field.

Of course, he didn't talk about the more practical applications for this sword, which are implied in the demonstration:

    1) hawg hunting - you could kill some serious wild boar with that bad boy:
    2) butchering said hawgs after killing them:
    3) ice sculpture - who needs a friggin' chainsaw?
    4) being awesome.

Yeah, I'd rather use a Cold Steel 1917 Cutlass than a Greatsword for home defense.

I might need to invest in one of those.

I wonder if you could use a NAGA sword for home defense, if you kinda stabbed with it? It seems like it could kind of be a spear.

It cuts through everything no problem at all! No more troublesome bits of too thick to slice beef! Or pork, in this case.
