It depends on which toe. I have a broken little toe right now. I rolled it on the mats during class and noticed it after I was done with class. I just put it back into place after class and buddy taped it to the next toe over to keep it straight. I didn't train for about two weeks to let it settle down and now I wear shoes in training to make sure it doesn't get twisted again. Usually you can't do much with a broken little toe but tape it up to the neighbor (that's probably all a doctor will tell you to do). I use some cloth tape to tape to the neighbor toe and then use another piece to tape the two toes to my middle toe for more support. If you have another toe that is broken, or if your little toe is broken and seriously mangled, you should see a doctor. I'm probably going to get checked out this week just to be certain everything is OK. Mine is still hurting more than the last time I broke my toe and seems to be taking longer to heal. Better to be safe than limping forever.
Disclaimer: I'm not a doctor so take this as opinion only and not as medical advice.Last edited by katana; 2/18/2004 11:22pm at .
