If Kajukenbo has good knife defence, I'd suggest that comes from Adriano Emperado's FMA background.

I agree with this statement 100%.

Most of the time if you're going to get knifed, you've already been knifed. Only a mugger who's a complete idiot would brandish a knife towards you and demand money.

You're more likely to have the blade poking some soft part of your body, and no krotty block in the world will get you out of that.

If the topic is "defending against a knife attack," wouldn't it be logical to then create a real world context for said attack? I guess we could use the context of the movies, or TV, but to what end?

The only "issue" is what happens in a real world assault with a knife. I suggest watching "Surviving Edged Weapons" and then we can go from there.

After that, a simple google image search for 'knife fight' will show the results of various encounters. Clicking on an image should provide context.

It just seems that to survive, you should run. If you can't run, latch onto the hand with the knife, try to reposition yourself, and then run. Anything less than 2-on-1 with the hand holding the knife is too much of an unknown.

    My favorite image result:

I like to bring some tongs and drawn butter to my knife fights.

Actually i have no problem with knife training if it is legit. Ask Mtripp to tell his story. That is one of the best and shows why you need to train it realistically or not at all.
The hood mentality is crippling disease, that attacks your nervous system. It makes you nervous of the system. Gangsters and hood rats are especially susceptible to this growth stunting mentality. The hood is where I'm from, but it's not what I am. Ofc your context and argument sounds logical and reasonable. IIF said something about your story. Is it ok if we ask?

You know, you are as bad as Moose. Which one?

The "challenge" match in the dojo?

The guys who showed up on Halloween?

When I stopped to aid two "Women" who's car was broken down?

    ???

Or, you tell it, then I'll remember it and add to if need be.
