Perhaps, however I'd be more concerned about the follow-up of that hypothetical encounter. No, the caveat is most of us don't care what you do as long as you don't claim to be a fighter or teh deadly. The bleed over is so common people overreact like Bubba the silly.

For what it's worth, I would agree with this statement. A lot of people study a martial art for reasons other than combat (i.e. Tai Chi people often do it for internal medicine; etc. instead of self defense). Basically, if someone wants to dress up and play ninjer, then to each his own. If, however, someone wants to play ninjer and then say I'm "unprepared to deal with a real fight", I would remove his head from his ass via excessive force.
