No.

I don't see it as so much that they are voluntarily stepping into the ring, in the same sense that you or I would, but that they are driven to fight as a means of survival. A way to feed themselves and it's being billed as entertainment.

The guy bragged elsewhere about paying each of the fighters "half a year's wages". Someone suggested/deduced that this was possibly in Myanmar, so that worked out to $100 US.

Phrost's argument regarding rednecks is a strawman. the real point and probably why I come back to this place despite the ignorancedisplayed at times is in Phrost's original point. Not that I disagree that two people doing stupid things for beer money is vastly different... it is. I remember we used to put bunjees around our heads as the grips dug into our flesh and see how long we could last for beer money.... I still had a family that was footing the bill for my college education though...

I remember when I first read about this douche bag... I am with you Phrost... If God exists this bastard will die horriby and slowly.

This stuff makes me sick to my stomach.

I surround myself with people who challenge my views for a lot of reasons, but most importantly because a.) you are never as informed about a subject as when you have to defend your position on it, b.) you don't have enough hours in the day to be informed on everything on your own, and c.) people without strong convictions are of no use to anyone.
