If your job as a bouncer is NOT about fighting, then those numbers you ran through your calculator are not fights but rather drunken incidents in which you had to stop a fight, that you clobber a drunk guy that is fighting another equally drunk guy is hardly called a fight between you and the guy...

when someone gets thrown out of the bar, my job doing the door left me as the last person that guy saw, and inevitably, most of those guys were pissed about being throw out, and wanted to take it out on someone....
A guy that gets drunk enough to get thrown out of a bar can hardly walk straight, you being sober and with the full capacity of your senses and criteria have the advantage... then again it can be hardy called a fight.

I have to agree with the guys here, with that many "street" fights and if the guys were not drunk then you are bound to find one that will come back for payback and :qleft6:

Back to the thread, even the best pro fighter in which ever MA or Style fighting in a controlled environment is bound to lose at least 1 match or fight... 600-0 record in "bloody street fights" yeah right, tell that to the easter bunny

No. the number of drunken incidents would be on top of that. If you throw out 3 people a week you probly work at coles.
If you work somwhere High incident 3 standup fights a week is not uncommon. This is not breaking up fights or forced ejections or people that have called you something nasty as they walk away this is 3 people a week that have turned around taken offence to you and have had a swing.

Or people can be thrown out for fighting, or being on drugs, or srealing, or breaking things, or sneaking into the bar, or selling drugs, or carriying weapons, or a hundred other numerous reasons that may be more serious

Why. because it happened to you? I crossed a road once and got hit by a car so therefore every body will get hit by a car crossing the road.

600 is not a big number and as much as I dislike coming down on the side of this guy I dislike more this habit of demanding proof for every statement and then coming up with a whole heap of fantasy as a counter argument.

So if you throw a guy out of a bar for having weapons or for selling drugs you just throw him out without calling the cops and just leave him there knowing he will most likely take a swing at the door man?

Oh, so 600 fights is not a big number?? Kindly enlighten us and tell us what you would consider a respectable amounts of fights? Saying you get into lots of fights as a bouncer and that your MA experience has helped you is something different than saying you have a 1000-0 street fighting record. There is nothing wrong asking for proof for claims or records, if you happen to be a gullible tard thats your problem...

Yes. That is the way the industry works.

I dont know what a respectable number is more than 1? It is just that 600 for someone who works as a bouncer for 15 to 20 odd years is not the massive achiement that everybody thinks it is. It is doable and I believe fairly common.

For the rest of it I agree with you Yes ask for proof. Do it all day and I will support you on it. But coming up with a whole list of reasons as to why It cant be so is doing exatly the same thing he is doing.

Actually 600 is a huge number. I know of one person who was both a mafia guy, and a bouncer (Part of Whitey Bulger's Boston Mob) who could make a claim to such a number. But the average adult male in the United States probably doesn't get into more then 3-5 fights in their adult life.

Actually I would love to do a poll on some of the harder guys in this forum and see what numbers they come up with.
I still believe it will be more common than people think.

Of course prooving any of it is the sticking point.

I like your fantasy counter argument of opinion right here.

30 street fights a year? That sounds absurd. 40 with your fifteen year number.

Most bouncers aren't going to consider tossing someone out of a bar a "street fight."

No it isn't more common that we think. Your definition of fight is obviously skewed. For a nice round number, they are averaging 3 fights a month over a 15-20 year period.

Your body isn't going to hold up no matter the age.

Considering it is based off your opinion and fantasy years, you are absolutely correct.

Arguing about how bullshido should let certain things go, polls, and whether 600-0 is outlandish or legit is a derail.

    Derail? Fair enough.

And yes I did know I was doing what I was complaining about other people were doing.
