Looking for Martial Arts in Melbourne Caulfield

Hi, I've just started studying at Monash Uni in Caulfield but I haven't been able to decide on a martial art.

I haven't done anything concrete on martial arts given that I spent a couple of years as a kid training at the Singapore Judo Federation, was a smallish Japanese guy and I have no idea what his name was. The only other training I have had was control and restraint when I was in the military police but the techniques I was taught were incredibly impractical and usually a beatdown is used against detainees rather than c & r...

I'm a skinflint so my priority would be sporting clubs at my uni, so far only the Judo and Taekwondo clubs look credible. I've read an old post in the site regarding the credibility of the Judo instructor and the TKD club is WTF and soon to be Kukkiwon affiliated.
The instructor at the TKD is Jae Young Kim http://sites.google.com/site/monashtkdclub/About-Us he's a 5th dan and has a couple of accomplishments in tourneys and military(waiting for club to respond with list) the club usually wins in the Australian uni games i think.

I'm was looking for karate but I'm quite unsure of the authenticity, should I be looking at http://www.kyokushinaustralia.com/ka...d=33&Itemid=51 for confirmation? Not sure which site holds concrete info of their credibility.

Unfortunately I can't find a school taught by Gary Viccars nearby, there is a school under Nick Cujic's name taught by a 3rd dan but only once a week.
There is a nearby dojo run by Eddie Emin but there are conflicting issues such as the blitz interview with regard to post http://www.bullshido.net/forums/show...ght=eddie+emin , and even worser stuff on John Taylor dished by Oyama's daughter and Cameron Quinn.

I checked another dojo teaching Koryu Kei Shin Kan karate by 5th dan Takasawa who was taught by Takazawa http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keishinkan however there is no email or website, just a phone number that hasn't been picking up. I looked up the Australian Kei Shin Kan, no contact sparring not sure if its different under Takasawa. Hopefully someone who does practice Kei Shin Kan can enlighten me.

And whats with the spellcheck, suggested correct spelling for taekwondo is wonderbra lol

I didn't find any links to their course fees, if they are expensive I probably won't join given that its pretty far transport wise. I will most likely settle for either the Kei Shin Kan karate or TKD at my uni.
Does anyone practice or heard anything good about Kei Shin Kan? I read that one of the previous students set up the infamous GKR karate.
I can't reach the dojo with the japanese instructor by phone, would it be insulting if I contacted the Australian run dojo to ask what the style is supposed to be like?

What's up with the judo classes? The instructor was mentioned on these forums, what was said about him?

Hmm I believe it was by an exchange student that spoke well of the instructors patience, and Judo is the martial art least likely to be McDojo right?
Anyone know anything about Kei Shin Kan thou? I read wikipedia and the Kei Shin Kan website, supposedly its a style that came from Okinawa but isnt practiced widely. If anyone practices Karate, any advice would help.
