    Hell yeah! Hell no!

    Shime Waza...

    YouTube- Wrestling vs. Judo

Frank Trigg is a 3rd Dan or 4th Dan under USA Olympian Judoka Kodansha Pat Burris.
Frank does NOT understand Ne Waza...ESPECIALLY Shime Waza...

This is a Kata Gatame...it has MANY names...Front Head Lock...Front Face Lock, Guillotine, etc.,...

Notice how the bout is lost at the 00:27 Mark. STUDY this video.

To be fair to Trigg isn't this WELL before he had any Judo exposure at all? Didn't he in fact start Judo because of this match?
A perfect example of the classic issue wrestlers have when chokes are allowed though and an excellent video.

Hmmmm. This is pretty early MMA-type style-vs-style stuff, obviously American judging by the commentary, and according to the YouTube video it was from Dale Cook's 1995 ACE World Series of Martial Arts- only two years post-UFC. That's kind of unusual- can anyone find more video from it?

    You are correct
"Out of every hundred men, ten shouldn't even be there, eighty are just targets, nine are the real fighters, and we are lucky to have them, for they make the battle. Ah, but the one, one is a warrior, and he will bring the others back." -- Hericletus, circa 500 BC
