    Vince Soberano vs Bryon Schnell

Hey guys. I find it fishy that Vince Soberano fought Bryon Schnell. Below are the links why I find it weird. You guys decide.

Anyways, its just weird that teacher/student are fighting each other and that a black belt in bjj gets mounted and blocks all of the punches and taps to strikes that don't even land. I don't know. Maybe it was an exhibition match. Not sure.

So, instead of doing any research you just post a thread that breaks all of the rules of this subforum?

    Now that is weird.

    Obvious? What is obvious?

You haven't pointed out what is fraudulent, fake, "fishy, or BS. What's even stranger is you didn't do any research.

Maybe it was an exhibition match. Not sure.
Where you posted this link makes the guys sound fradulent.

Quick Searches show their main ranks are legit. I'm not going took for all of the other stuff.

    The Pro-MMA thing is this:

    http://www.beijingtoday.com.cn/tag/vince-soberano

The first professional muay Thai fight Battlefield X1 Supremacy was held Wednesday evening at the China World Hotel. Vince Soberano (top), the eight-time world champion, defeated his opponent US fighter Bryon Schnell in less than 10 minutes.

A total of 22 fighters from seven countries including the US, Thailand and China competed in the event.

Xu Aihui, China’s first and only professional feale muay Thai fighter, defeated Sonrex Patanao from the Philippines.

All proceeds from the event will be given to the China Children and Teenagers Foundation (CCTF), which helps orphans and children in impoverished areas.
So, is it fixed? Could be. Looks like it but, I'd want to see the entire event before I felt it was something shady. To me it is like a pro fighting a tomato can for a tune-up fight. We all know the outcome but, it is done to promote an event or get the guy ready for a real fight.

Don't like it but it happens.

A little more research shows this:
    http://www.thesweetscience.com/boxin...ularity-china/

    http://www.thesweetscience.com/boxin...ularity-china/
"I will fight for one more Muay Thai world championship title, possibly the next January in Japan," the 44-year-old Thail-American confided.
Tune up against someone he knew he could beat to fight a few more times.

That's why this was moved form MABS.

Bro. Vince Soberano and Bryon Schnell are student and teacher. Would you fight your teacher in an MMA match? I'm not questioning their ranks. Vince is a very good Muay Thai fighter. All I'm saying is why the two had to fight each other. Vince gave Bryon his Kru ranking and also Bryon is a black belt in brazilian jiu jitsu under Joe Moreira. As far as I know Vince is around a blue belt in BJJ. I did research my buddy.

I fought one of my guys in an event like this. It was fixed but we let the promoter know it. We did it as an exhibition at a boxing show.

I was at ringside. It was not only a fake, but the most shameful work I have ever seen. After doing research you will find that Vince Soberano's fight record is a fake as well. He claims to be 6-0 in King of the Cage. Against who?? He claims to be a three time world Muay Thai Champion. Other than his win as an amateur in the 90's, what Muay Thai organization recognized him as a world champion. Who did he fight to win these titles? He fought two low level bouts in Thailand at the King and Queen Cup and came back claiming to be a world champion. When I was training in Thailand and inquired, I found no organization that recognizes him as their WORLD champion.
He only claims two losses in Muay Thai but he can never produce a list of opponents with dates, venues and organization. Guys like this think they can go to a remote place like China a make up a record and a history and fool the people here. I have lived in China for 15 years and see guys like this all the time. What a joke.
