Study this video.
My student uses the sweep...but instead of Ude Garami (Kimura Version)...he fakes a Guillotine...then uses the same sweep...then watch the entire video...and you will see me and the students that I trained...Skye, Masuda, Harout, and Savant...

Well I do NOT hide behind a monitor. I do NOT like to play cowardly games. I do NOT know your jargon, humor, etc.,...like Oracle told you...I started the ADCC gatherings in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and New Jersey...

Then I do apologize.
Yes, I am smarter than you are.

That's an entirely different sweep.
That sweep is a sit-up sweep variant which goes in a wholly different direction from the sweeps in question here and is usually applied from a completely different position.
It has more in common with this sweep:

That with the one in my original post or any of the others posted in the thread.

Tawara Gaeshi Jime and Kata Gatame...Kata Gatame has MANY variations...Anaconda, Brabo, D'Arce, Von Flue, Guillotine, etc.,

I was only talking about one version of a Kimura Sweep...to draw a parallel...

If you are the 100 pound male with the full rash guard top...then at the 00:17 second mark of your youtube video, you are doing it ALL WRONG. You will lose to Juji Gatame and have your arm injured. STUDY Matt Hughes Versus GSP I. You do NOT apply Ude Garami with OUT A GUARD.

17 second mark of the original video? 17 second mark of the video I just posted? 17 second mark of some other video? Which video are you referencing?
Ahh, ok. Thank you for the clarifying video. Yes, there is an armbar counter to that sweep. That is one of the risks taken if you go this route, yes.
For me I've felt both times I used it that the risk of my opponent exploiting that opening was minimal, while the risk of them passing my guard was high.

You just lost your left arm to me.
