    I haven't been in a fight since the 4th grade. But I've done some pretty stupid things while sparring.

    The day after spraining my foot, I attempted a Harai-Goshi on the biggest guy in my Judo club. Needless to say, my foot took many months to recover.

    Back in September I tried a Harai-Makikomi on a Japanese 4th Dan who played at the university level. My shoulder still hurts sometimes...

    Um, well this wasn't stupid on my part, but check this. In 8th grade one of my classmates had been picking on my little brother, so in the lunch room I politely told him to leave him alone or he'll pay. Immediately he drops to a boxing stance and nails me in the stomach. However I was so unfazed ( and angry looking)( I was standing there with my hands on my hips like superman) he pissed his pants and had to go home early!

    One time while sparring I tried a sort of side-stepping upper cut, the guy put his knee up and caught me right in the elbow - I couldn't bend my arm for a week. But a friend of mine was a "big shot 5th Dan" and was sparring a 14 year old girl - He tried to roundhouse kick her to the ribs - she dropped her elbow and broke his foot!

    The stupidest thing I've ever done in a fight?

    Participate.

    Other than that. Back in grade school I tried to use "pressure points" on a bully. Punching their fucking lights out worked better.

    Also, not fighting hard enough. Got held down and pounded with a skateboard once simply because I restrained myself from battling them all out. Stupid. That day I learned that no quarter should ever be given in a street fight. Cripple, maim, run like hell. I showed humanity to those who have none, and was pretty busted up for a couple months after that. Now I carry a knife. If somebody tries that crap, I'm cutting tendons before they even realize I'm armed, and making a hasty escape. Nobody is going to rat pack me, because the first person that tries to hold me down is getting filleted. End of story.
