If not, may this be posted wherever it belongs.

I've recently discovered that tongue positioning in the mouth affects both enery/mind/breathing patterns. So i have a question for all of you.
Have you noted how/where Exactly do you keep your tongues during the usual days and training sessions?
    Thanks.

P.S. - Personally i observe a great deal of change in relaxation and fighting abilities with different positions. So...
    1. HOW did you "discover" this?

    2. In any FC fight, you will use a mouthpiece, IF YOU HAVE A BRAIN. The size and the position of yout mouthpiece will limit your tongue position anyway.

Also, with all the breathing stuff, look how this fighter trains for competition.

I agree with backfistmonkey the tongue must be firmly planted in the cheek. Not only does this confuse your opponent but your air way is 20% more obstructed allowing you to have a better O2 saturation come fight time.

Yes, i'm talking about just the tip.
But do you create any tension (do you push it)?

Idk about exhaling, but inhaling is defently benefitet from the nose.
Read any medical research on the quality of the oxygen from nasal breathen-In. And if you wish - the yogi's ideas behind the quality of "prana" when nose breathing.

I would love to read any medical research on this subject that you'd be so kind as to provide.

What's the betting the research was undertaken by someone who also wrote a study on why we can't see unicorns?

My teacher recommended keeping the tip of the tongue on the roof of one's mouth during practicing outside in the park, as we do. When I asked why he said it was to keep from swallowing a bug.

Dude, why would he want you not to swallow?

I'm not sure I should be in a thread about "tongue position" . Oh, and welcome.
