You probably know that but there's a few Pokemon that are only available on certain walks on the Pokewalker, so if you're a completionist you actually HAVE to use the thing. Short of trading on the WiFi but hey, we're all martial artists, we probably all do roadwork.

A good job well done by Nintendo to force OCD nerds to get off their asses.

I got HeartGold, the only Pokemon I like from SoulSilver is Skarmory.

I just got done oneshotting Clair's gym with my Lapras. Yeah, slow, I know. Last time I rushed through a Pokemon game I baleeted my Exp. Share by mistake (LOL) and had to start over. Not the brightest idea, so since then I take it slow.

Soulsilver has Vulpix. I chose it for that specifically. Soulsilver is blue as Heartgold is to red.

I seriously chose soulsilver just because of Vulpix.

    Yuuup.

This is really a great idea. Today I racked up 20 miles because I had my totodile with me. It's really nerdy, but it seriously makes you want to go out and keep your steps up.

There's an elementary school nearby, but they're not done with school stuff until usually around 5:00pm, and by that time, I've got to get to judo or something else. I get to use it during the weekends sometimes, but it'd be nice to just have someplace convenient, you know?

I'll try giving the tennis courts a go.

Thanks for the heads-up, Sirc. I needed some motivation to do more running. Is it very expensive?

Sorry, I didn't mean to imply that there was anything special about the squash court per se - just that if you don't have a convenient long, straight (or gently curved) line to sprint along, you can still do a pretty good job of tiring yourself out by running back and forth over whatever sort of space you have available.

In the vein of portable games making you get up, Boktai or some **** like that had a solar sensor that basically made you go outside to play the damn thing. Really. Your gun had to be charged by sunlight in game which would only appear if the solar sensor was picking up sunlight or somesuch.

It was pretty cool, but the actual gameplay was a little finicky and I kept getting stung by bees.
