Fitness RPG

Most of us like video games, and most of us like getting fitter. To combine the two, I created a small program that keeps track of how many exercises you have done, and creates an RPG-like level from there. It can be downloaded from here.

To run the program, simply click "Fitness RPG.bat" (I wanted to convert the perl file into an exe, but it was too much of a hassle, so I took a version of portable perl and used a bat file to link them together). It currently only has push-ups and sit-ups, but I am thinking of adding more exercises in.

Basically, it takes the numbers, and using a simple algorithm, finds the average level of your fitness. This can range from "Complete Fucking *****" to "OMEGA THE MERCILESS".

I added in a very small range of levels, but you can add in your own with a minimal knowledge of coding. You can also, of course, add in your own exercises easily. My code is a little messy, and I apologise for that (I originally intended it to be for my own personal use).

You can add your push-ups and sit-ups to the program on a regular basis, and all the stuff is stored in fitness.txt.

I hope you guys like my very basic program, and please give me recommendations for improving it! Flames are welcome as well! :D

You didn't work out hard enough. Once you input enough exercise you get to kill orcs and raid castles. Fat slacker.

I actually wanted to put some more RPG-ey stuff like actual graphics and combat in, but went for a very basic version first to see whether you guys would like the idea. Thanks for the input, though!

Please, I'm not a fan of fiction.
The closest Ashida ever came to female, was when he accidentally copped a feel at the tender age of 12, as he was getting spanked by his mother for running around in black pajamas and a hockey mask.

This rebellious streak is what lead him to become one with the shadows. He may have been the first emo, before emo was invented.

I'd debate that. He is built like a 13 year old girl, and his mom looks like a lumberjack.

Whenever Kim takes a "prolonged shower" he's closer to touching a female.

I'll have to try this game out today though. Although downloading something executable written by a brand new poster onto my computer from a website that pisses people off... Maybe that's a little too risky.

...Wow, I never thought of it that way. Now that you say it like that, I'm surprised that it got any downloads at all :O

Don't worry though, it just contains a .bat file, the perl compiler, and the perl files. If you're still worried, just use an anti-virus scanner, viruses can't affect you when inside rars.
