It frustrates me at how cool Tito is when he's not being a complete fucking douchebag.. still can someone evaluate that triangle escape? Because all I have in that department is a can opener or slam.. My triangle defence leaves something to be desired I know.

yeah tito is a weird guy, excellent coach and really seems to care about his guys but **** he is such a douche outside of that.

that "prank" was weak. nothing clever or funny or artistic about waking people up at 3am with horns. fucking mexicans.

you're quite aware that i have a bazillian reasons to bask in his reflected glory.

and yeah he's been training there the last couple of years, which he started doing after he became australian champ. he's not an american citizen or living there permanently.

you're probably joking around, but this is my moment, man. go family!

I've actually got pretty high hopes for this season. I know it's early, but based on the first episode the quality of fighters seems up from the past few seasons by a lot. We've also got a really good group of coaches too. This could actually be a step back to the first 3-5 seasons or so.

I watched this episode at a bar in Halifax, Nova Scotia. When your boy's fight started, just for fun, I yelled AUSSIE AUSSIE AUSSIE as loud as I could manage. Instead of getting a few laughs like I figured, I got a thunderous OI OI OI from the entire fucking bar. The whole crowd was immediately cheering for him the entire fight.

It was just awesome, and I thought you'd like to know that everyone loves Australians.

Kyle immediately won me over with his prefight interview (or whatever the hell its called); I liked the way he said he didn't need to trash talk, he seemed humble but confident. It was a refreshing change, and then he followed it up winning by submission. Well done!

I've also been pleasantly surprised by this season so far. While I guess it was inevitable that someone would pull a stupid prank, and that they would televise it, there was at least some decent training and coaching shown. Not having seen Tito coach before, I was seriously surprised and impressed, especially the way he helped his fighter handle the loss. Plus, I've never seen that escape from triangle before, so I actually learned a grappling technique watching reality television!

So, on another note, what did other people think of Chuck's picks? I was a bit surprised by Dana's comments, but I'm not all that knowledgeable about it. What do other people think? Chuck's rationale was interesting, it seemed like he was saying he's going more by record and stats than what he saw in the preliminary fights. Will be interesting to see how it plays out, so far his strategy is working...

You should watch the TUF season featuring Tito Ortiz vs Frank Shamrock. Editing and the fact that Ortiz is a winner, make Ortiz out to be a real winner on the show. You can easily appreciate his coaching ability was far beyond Shamrock's.

I watch all the episodes except from the first Quinton Jackson (vs Forrest Griffin) to the last one (against Rashad Evans.) I can tell you this season seems to be much better in terms of fighter potential.
