Apparently, it was a close enough fight that they want Penn/Edgar 2 for an immediate rematch in August.

We actually landed more strikes, we did more things when they went in and looked at the compustrike or whatever and that's the fight that they really want. They want to put us straight back in the ring against each other.

I think they want to shoot for somewhere around August. I wanted to get in the ring and be a little more active but what can I complain about? I'm going to get the belt back.

    This is stupid, absolutely stupid.

Sorry but what part of that fight even looked remotely like it was going to go the other way? What a stupid decision.

Would have been more badass if Silva actually grapplied. Oh wait, he might lose then. It was an asshole thing to say. Let your limbs do the talking.

Did AS say anywhere exactly 'how' Maia disrespected him?

That was a pretty badass and lowclass thing to do all at the same time!

So how good is Frankie Edgar?

Is his MT really that much sharper than Kennys?
Or is he really that much faster?
Or did Penn just have a really bad night and no answer for someone quicker than him?

A straight rematch? Meh. I don't think the decision was blatantly wrong like it was with Machida vs Shogun.

Penn had a bad night and takes the rematch imo. that fight wasnt so much edgar winning as it was BJ losing, if that makes sense.

The problem is, its wrong in the context of current championship fights. Up till the Penn fight it was "you have to clearly beat the champ." Now its "close counts."

In truth, as I said earlier, it is REALLY starting to suck that so many UFC fights are going to the Judges. I want to see people DEFEAT the other man, not outpoint them.

My money will be in my pocket for sometime to come.
"Out of every hundred men, ten shouldn't even be there, eighty are just targets, nine are the real fighters, and we are lucky to have them, for they make the battle. Ah, but the one, one is a warrior, and he will bring the others back." -- Hericletus, circa 500 BC
