Andersons performance was ridiculous. How are you going to taunt someone and then not be able to finish them? Some may say he didnt want to and thats even more concerning. I have no interest in watching Silva act like a retard and mock his opponent. Dana should feed him to Lesnar, and say heres you challenge dick.

Earlier in the night a friend of mine was trying to make the case that BJ Penn was the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world. I said BJ gave too many lackluster performances, and that he was lazy and didn't take his fights seriously enough. He didn't dominate like a world class, pound-for-pound fighter should. During the Penn fight, I was like, "See? Told you so."

Of course, the entire time I was arguing that Silva was the greatest pound-for-pound. How much of an idiot did I make myself look out to be when all of my earlier arguments against Penn were on full display in the Silva fight.

I just watched this with my wife. She christened this the "worst UFC she's ever seen." Honestly that's saying something, because it's a bitch to get her to watch any of them.

On BJ vs. Frankie, we both agreed that Frankie won the fight. I thought BJ should have kept his title anyway, because its tradition that if you don't take the belt, you don't get the belt, but I can't really argue with the judges. My wife hates BJ by the way, she thinks Rogan is just gay for him. Being gay for Rogan, I disagree.

Anderson Silva was her favorite fighter. Combining his fight with Griffin and this one, she thinks he's a douchebag. I agree. He can bow and apologize afterwards all he wants, but until somebody truly humbles that guy he's going to remain an arrogant POS. If I was Maia I'd have pointed to the mat when Silva was pointing to the sky. "No **** you're better than me standing, lets see what you have on the ground, ************!" He probably still would have lost, but at least it'd have been fun for the kids.

Didnt GSP do exactly the same thing in his lackluster performance against Hardy? Only he was avoiding the standup not the ground game.

THIS. It's the same damn people that ride GSP nuts for the most part complaining about Anderson. How is not passing the guard any different than using evasive footwork?

I'm kinda impressed by Silva's strategy, if the tactless circling of Silva in the 4th was a direct blow to Dana.

When you're a champion, how else are you gonna get out of a UFC style contract without losing? Win rounds until you're nearly assured victory, then refuse to engage until reprimanded. Maybe he's learned a bit from the whole Randy Couture fiasco...

That being said, I'm not gonna be buying any PPVs for a while.

That is a horrible comparison.

GSP stood on his head trying to end that fight. He had something like nine takedowns (some of which qualified as slams), passed to side control at will, took the back no fewer than three times, went for an armbar, a kimura (?) and a leglock, and basically did everything he could short of shooting Dan Hardy in the head.

Anderson spent the fifth round losing exchanges to a BJJ specialist and getting warned by the ref.
