What's a good company to use for running a background check on someone? I'm not involved in a company, and I only have one specific person I want to run it on. paying directly online and getting the results in an e-mail would be a huge plus.
I'd be looking for a good price but also, obviously, a check that is going to pull up a great amount of information that can't just be easily obtained on my own by mailing different government agencies myself. The person I'd want to run the check on lives in my state now but also lived in one other the rest of their life before that, so I'd only need a 2 state check.
Sorry if this isn't the forum for this type of question. Thanks.

Call the cops and ask. If you think he might have been convicted or tried at some point in his life they should be able to point you toward that information.
As far as some crazy in-depth full govt granted background check you need search around online.

Lexis Nexus, and some others, do background checks...not sure how you go about getting an account set up though.
