Well these are the facts

1. He claims to be a black belt in Judo and BJJ. Both belts have not been confirmed so far. Yeah he is a 1st degree BB with Gracie Barra but who gave him his original BB? He became an affiliate with Gracie Barra.

2. Three days ago I sent an e-mail asking him who gave him his black belt and contact information for that person....... so far no response.

3. Two Judo organization have no record of him.

4. He has fought twice in 1997 which at that time anybody could have fought in these unsanctioned events. His other fight in 2005 was a draw.

5. He has trained fighters that have done well. Nobody is questioning his teaching abilities just his claims of being a Black Belt in two different arts. Greg Jackson has no balck belt in BJJ yet he has good fighters as well. So that does not mean anything.

So that is it in a nut shell. You guys can make your judgment off of this. Like I said if you guys feel he is legit then I will agree as well....no big deal.

I just hate when a guy claim being BB in BJJ and turns out they aren't. I am sure the Judo Black Belts on this forum feel the same way.

No, THREE of them do not. And it's ALL THREE of the NGB's in the country.

All I'll say is you used the words faking and legit before anyone took this thread seriously so:

Yes, the turn this took is from your first and second posts. It would behoove you to specifically define what you hope to do as Syberia asked. Your first two posts sound exactly like someone questioning teaching ability.

Well I have contacted someone that might know how to get a hold of Ricardo Teixeira....the person that supposedly gave Zee his BB in BJJ. When I get a response I will let you all know. :5shocking

Well I am glad to hear that he has a legit BB in BJJ. I don't know what is going to happen with his Judo background though.

Professor Marc Zee has been with Gracie Barra now for some time now. When he initially requested to become a GB affiliate we verified and confirmed his ranking from Joe Moriera and Ricardo Tiexera. He is doing a great job not only representing GB in Arizona but also doing a phenomenal job teaching his students. The IBJJF has certified him as a blackbelt just as the Gracie Barra Association has done.
