The fact that Jones learns and executes Judo moves after watching them on the Internets makes him a freak of nature

And yes Judo and Greco have a lot in common but still.

Josh he's looking for a Judo coach for MMA you need to get there asap

ya, i love jones' judo-ness in his style.
his fight against bonnar was the first time i saw him and i was just mesmerized by the throws. and then his o soto against matt hamil, WOW.

and hey coach, have you read this posting by rhadi, over at jf.com about coaching? he said that in a judo match, it is the coach's job to get the opposing fighter a shido(penalty). (some people attacked him for what he said, but, boy,,, he said it like it was. it's someone like him who deserves to be a hichidan or kudan eventually and change the judo world.) the coach can't win you the match, but he has to do everything in his power to get you the edge, anyway possible within the rules. that is what he is being paid for.

Goju after watching the video I almost called Greg Jackson to see if I could do it.

Ken, Rhadi is a great coach and an athlete. He does not see things like the old school guys and it causes problems. I agree with him that your coach can give you definitive edge on the mat during competition. If any thing to keep the refs honest. Sadly they see it as you yelling at them and take it personal.

I just got an email from the head ref for the tournament this weekend talking about how he will bring holy hell on us if we mess with his baby refs this weekend. I think I just found my entertainment for the weekend.

if they can't take it, reffing isn't their gig.
granted, i do not envy their position. a great referee is even harder to come by than a great athlete.
