Larry Sanders Investigation (see page 11)

"Dr. Larry Sanders Sijo Nei Wai Chia Kung Fu Soke Sessen Jutsu Aiki Ju jutsu"

    How's that for a title?

This guy seems to be master of everything, and founder of Chinese & Japanese arts. . .
    http://www.sijo.org/aboutSijo.htm

    yet is a daoist lecturer & master. . .
    http://www.daoiststudies.org/scholar...ist&userid=655

    AWESOME!!!

Anybody here train with him, that can give us a report?
Even with his claimed 50 years of training, I have a hard
time believing much of what's attributed to him is earned.
    http://www.sijo.org/aboutSijo.htm

There are a lot of video courses by him:
    http://www.sijo.org/tapes.htm

From Martial Arts of the World
    http://www.maotw.com/list/ma01.html
    Regarding:
Sessen Jutsu Aiki Jujutsu - founded 1980 USA, Larry Sanders
"The style is based on techniques from Daito Ryu/Aiki Budo/Aibu Jitsu Ryu.
The founder also founded Beikoku Bushikan Karate Jutsu & Nei Wai Chia Kung Fu"

    * * *
If he's legit. . .I'd like to train with him.

he claims a 6 th degree Judo Black Belt. Though i'm not connected at all with the world of judo, i gather that a rokudan is a verifiable record.

and what kind of degree is his Ph.D and how relevant is it to MA?

The USJA and USJF have no record of this man, which is odd if he has a sixth degree black belt in Judo.

Honestly, it's like 2008. I can't see how people still think they can get away with such claims in the M.A. world. This guy is just over the top.

I went to his place for a free lesson and he asked me "did you see the movie bloodsport?" And told me that he had not only fought but won in a tournament like that in china, but this was "the real thing". When I questioned it, he told me about how it was run by some chinese mafia I forgot the name of "like the yakusa, but in china". Apparently when you win, the mafia wants you to do them "favors, you know?" "but it's optional, you can turn them down." So he turned them down. Apparently he won a trophy bigger than he is. He wasn't very suprised that I'd never heard of the tournament.

edit: I was quoted a price, but apparently since I have practiced wing chun, I would probably get a discount. Later I was quoted a higher price.

Not real sure. He did tell me his school was daoist based and that the daoists were the original hippies, so the school has a laid back atmosphere. . . so you might be on to something there - this IS Austin TX after all.

It's funny how most bs artists and larpers think the yakuza and the triads have something to do with the martial arts just because there from asia and they kill people.
