Why does the title say the monkeys attack a human? I didn't see the monkeys do anything except rebel against their handler a little bit.

In any case, that dude SHOULD get his ass beat by those monkeys, it's really fucked up that this sort of thing is popular in China.

Isn't most of Chinese history based on abusing and oppressing somebody or something?

Perhaps, but the Chinese did it 1,000 years before everybody else...

But if it becomes popular enough, Korea invent it.

    Korea was invented by Greece.
Daniel: I don't know if I know enough karate.

    Miyagi: Feeling correct.

Daniel: You sure know how to make a guy feel confident.

Miyagi: You trust the quality of what you know, not quantity.

No greek would invent the disaster-piece that is korea. Just ask one. Very prideful those greeks.

Demitri, you are the defender of all things monkey. I am an animal lover but you dont take monkey business lightly. You prefer those with similar DNA and thumbs to just any old dog or other domesticated simpleton.
Might I ask where your interest came from?
Were you a primate researcher or just have love for our monkey brethren because of commonality? Just wondering.

The bananasicle and hammer are hilarious. What the hell does it say?

    Interesting story, that.

When I was little, my mother had a plush monkey collection (the way some people collect clown figurines.) More recently, my fiance took me to Lop Buri, the town known for it's monkey population. This was around 2007, where I got my first taste of the joy that is monkeys. (Prior to that, the extent of my exposure was watching Pan-kun.)

That really tickled my "adorable" bone, and got me reading up on the little critters (macaques in particular.) I'm not a researcher, but I a strong hobbyist. I enjoy reading about their behavior, psychology, rituals, etc.

Every year since, I've taken a trip to Thailand to visit the future in-laws, and since there is family around the Lop Buri region, I've been able to visit my furry pals as well. They bite, they swarm, and they steal your things. But, if you prepare for the visit, i.e. dress appropriately, no loose things like jewelery or shiny trinkets, you won't get mobbed. In fact, as long as you respect their body signals, you won't be swarmed.

I believe I've posted some of the more recent pics of myself and the monkeys. They were trying to groom my shaved head and arm-bar me.

Currently, I have adopted/sponsored a Japanese snow macaque named Carly. If my job thing works out and I end up in TX where the primate sanctuary is located, I hope to put in some volunteer hours, and if the powers that be allow it, spend time among my hairy people.

The bananasicle and hammer are hilarious. What the hell does it say?

It means "The Republic of Monkeystan."

Cheers, and bananas to you all.
May Sri Hanuman's minions not bite you today.
