Jay "The Law" Grissom BJJ Blackbelt?
This guy claims to have a 10-1 Pro MMA record but i cant find anything on Sherdog apart from a thread questioning his BJJ blackbelt.
He doesnt state who awarded him said belt on his website.
(ive emailed him asking him)
He is also asking for fans to make donations/sponsorship to help assist his career.
And I quote:

For the first time ever, you, the fan, can help an athlete get to the top of his game and get recognized in a serious way!"King without a crown

His school website has an odd appearance for a BJJ school:
They don't usually spell it "jujitsu", and they almost never use kanji. And there's no BJJ lineage or affiliation mentioned.
He lost a fight to David Brown in Athens, GA in 2006:

If it matters the "about us" section of his website is a basic copy and paste off of wikipedia.
Doesn't really say anything about the individual, simply that the website creator plagerized off of another site.

A couple of minor points. I don't see many non-UFC fighters wearing UFC branded gloves, i.e. none that I can ever remember.
The fact that he is wearing a Tap Out shirt is also questionable. If he is a sponsored fighter cool, otherwise he's just another douche bag.

mmaguy30 - **** the shitdog newbs.
This sort of situation needs to be handled carefully, and it is by no means over. Nothing is over until we decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no!
And it ain't over now. 'Cause when the goin' gets tough... the tough get goin'!
I mean, What the **** happened to the UG I used to know? Where's the spirit? Where's the guts, huh? This could be the greatest thread of our lives, but you're gonna let it be the worst. "Ooh, we're afraid to go with you mmaguy, we might get in trouble." Well just kiss my ass from now on! Not me! I'm not gonna take this. Jay Grissom? he's a dead man!
You all know I'm right. Psychotic, but absolutely right. We gotta take this bastard. Now we could do it with conventional weapons that could take years and cost millions of lives. No, I think we have to go all out. I think that this situation absolutely requires a really futile and stupid gesture be done on somebody's part, and the UG is just the place to do it!
Now lets get organized! Someone screen cap all the website stuff he's got up.
Dude this situation is nearly handeled. There is a very respectable Brown Belt named Jeremy Arel who is from the Charlotte area, and has trained at Alliance Charlotte, as well as nearly every other gym in the state.
He knows pretty much all of the high level grapplers in the area, which isnt very difficult, because there are only a handfull.
He has already agreed to go to Grissom's "class" this week, and sort this mess out.
Just for clairifaction purposes, hes a poster on Sherdog, and he is the guy behind the "Gerbil Blog". If you train BJJ and are on Sherdog, you know about him. He recieved his Brown Belt from Gordo while training there in Brazil.
Like i said, he'll take care of it and post his findings later this week.

I actually can't find anything on his site that says "My name is Jay Grissom and I teach Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu" or anything to that effect. In fact, the only place the site expressly uses the word "Brazilian" is in the about us, which someone noted is a copy paste from wiki. Not defending the guy, mind you, just wondering where the claim is in the first place.
Edit: I missed this - http://jaygrissom.com/site/about/ - sorry, I clicked on his site and went to about us looking for that.Originally Posted by Sarcastro
