Attack proof...and maybe a good alternate self defense system?

I came across an old thread about the "Attack Proof" group and something about them not coming through on a challenge or something....

However, I was wondering if anyone had taken a thorough look at the book and could tell me if they believe that their self-defense ideas were valid or not?

They used bruce lee's analogy of water a lot and talked about flowing in combat etc.... Anyway, my general impression from that post was that Attack Proof is not viewed positively here :P

Oh and I didn't know how to change the title but I figured I shouldn't be asking for good alternative arts here so I figure ill post that in another section...

I have the book, seen the videos, IMHO, it is not all that great.
"Out of every hundred men, ten shouldn't even be there, eighty are just targets, nine are the real fighters, and we are lucky to have them, for they make the battle. Ah, but the one, one is a warrior, and he will bring the others back." -- Hericletus, circa 500 BC

    YMAS'd.

There are tons of Attackproof threads here. Perkins punked out when our very own Omega challenged him, if I remember correctly.

I wonder how they translate it though cause someone can interpret it every which way, from taking it quite literally, to applying it to certain scenarios and situations.

I mean hell, it can be read as "if someone punches water, the water doesn't back up, it circles and encompasses."

By that I mean it may or may not be complete nonsense.

If you're into that sort of "flowing" techniques, look up Ba Gua Zhang. Its so flowing they spin.
