    Hell yeah! Hell no!

I just have a whole host of bizarre MMA questions

And instead of wasting peoples time putting up thread after thread for each topic I thought I would condense the wastage into one thread that people can troll or ignore at their leisure.
And maby even get other people to contribute their random questions too.

Here is my first one. I have noticed that nobody wears ear protection In MMA and i imagine probably for good reasons. but here is my theory i have played a bit of rugby in my time and to protect from cauliflower ears we tape them.
would this work? would it be allowed?

The cauliflower ear is much more a result of training for the fight than the actual fight. Taping them in the ring would do dick.

Lots of people wear ear protection in training. It's not legal to wear in an actual MMA fight (or most grappling rules I'm aware of) and you wouldn't anyway because it makes it much harder to escape guillotines.

Actually, Kazushi Sakuraba had his (pretty hideously cauliflowered) ears taped up, at least back in his later PRIDE days. Not sure about now though.
