No discounts, my brother. It was a used, gun-show piece that looked brand new or something. I can't even remember when I got it.

Well, lets stir the pot a bit...

Hy home gun has been a Sig P-220 for.... well a long time

My carry piece is an H&K P7-M8 (Which I paid $450 for a VERY long time ago)

My next one for car/trail/pocket, etc is going to be a Taurus Public Defender

nice...I've got a P7M13 (primary concealed) and I use a M8 as a concealed sometimes when the mood hits me. Usually in summer months...the Taurus 650CIA fits the bill nicely. =)

    There are You Tube videos.

I find it odd that some people are unhappy it. They feel the rounds are not "man stoppers"???!!! I think a double tap in the face of even #4 is going to end the fight very quickly, but thats just me....

To the OP: I think I remember that the only major difference between Rossi and Taurus revolvers these days is that Rossi revolvers have the firing pin on the hammer while Taurus revolvers have a floating firing pin. I don't remember where I read that, and it could be bullshit.

+1 for Rock Island Armory; if the OP had started a thread asking for suggestions, I would've jumped on the chance to sing the praises of my easily afforded 1911!

Do you mean #4 birdshot or #4 buckshot? Given that I'm a believer in the "big, heavy, and slow" theory of terminal ballistics, I don't see why you wouldn't just shoot .45LC at a human target.

Also, **** that racist bullshit in the first video's description.

    2. You keep repeating, and expanding upon, your argument.
    3. Therefore, you are an idiot.

That isn't an ad hominem fallacy; that's inductive reasoning.

My dad has a Judge (regular, not the PD version) and let me shoot some .45 colt through it. I enjoyed shooting it. It had a nice weight, a pretty crisp trigger pull cocked and I found the recoil a lot more manageable than expected. It seemed pretty accurate from short range and left a big fat fucking hole in things.

Bear in mind that I have a bit of 9mm auto experience, but this is the only revolver I have shot so far.

Not being a wise guy, but can you explain the racist part to me? I must have missed it.

I handled that polymer Ruger revolved, the only word that I can think of to describe the feel of it is RIDICULOUS. Get steel.
