I had one Muay thai match in a cage, and I actually enjoyed it
If you think about it, the lack of real "corners" make it hard to corner somebody because they have more room to get out. But at the same time, if you get them on the fence, you can flying knee/flying kick without fear of falling out of the ring.
If you're amateur, it's a great way to get experience - ring or not. If you're pro, I wouldn't bother - I'd go fight in a Muay thai org and not an MMA one. -

The lack of corners might not hurt me much since my ringmanship is awful.
I am an amateur. Ideally, I'd like to have a respectable ammy MT career alongside my MMA career. I don't know why I'd care, but I'd almost be afraid of people discounting my (potential) MT matches in a cage since it's in a cage. -

why?
You place your MT fight record of the MMA organisation seperate from your MT record of a MT organisation on your own profile page.
If a MT organisation accepts the MT in a cage, there's no problem.
If a MT organisation doesn't accept them, so what ,you can legally sandbag an opponent of the MT organisation -> double win.
example:
you: 2 MT fights + 10 MT-MMA fights = 12 fights
if the MT organisation doesn't accept the 10 fights, than you have had 2 fights according to them and therefor your opponent also has to be a rookie (max 3 fights).
So why the statistics will say 2-3, in reality it will 12-3. :boxing:
