James Toney refuses MMA contract because 'Dana White is a ho'

I, too, refuse to fight in the UFC because Dana White is a ho.

Toney is just frustrated because he´s no longer in the spotlight, he´s fat and past his prime so no one cares about him, not even the boxing promoters.

He used to be great but now he´s irrelevant, and he doesnt seem to be able to accept this fact.

I have a feeling seeing him fight in MMA would just make me want to quit boxing, I suspect that whole shoulder roll thing wouldn't work in the UFC

It might work against certain opponents, but it would be stupid to try that against a wrestler or sub-artist, since they don't care about standing and trading.

From what I've heard from Toney's videos, any MMA training is laughable at best. Talking about being a death fighter, training a "side-check kick," and "there's no way I'm going to the ground" all have the trappings of someone else who has no idea what it actually takes to learn the game.

Toney's also not exactly a devastating puncher, and he never really was. He had decent power at middle weight but not the staggering concussive force that would benefit him in MMA. Not that you can't be a finesse fighter in MMA but if you're going to rely soley on your hands to win fights, you had better be able to knock people out violently.

If we factor him dropping back to 160 and going from 8-10oz TO 4oz MMA gloves, his power would be a factor.

maybe, but he covers alot and moves his head waay to far sometimes, he will get taken down.. Hatton or Tyson's styles would be better suited to MMA, Haye's looks as though it could also adapt, as his hooks are concussive and wouldn't suffer from a stance change

people always say that pure boxers can't be succesful in the UFC, and while it's true, people seem to overlook the fact that GSP would get maimed in a boxing match against Hopkins.
