North East Pennsylvania activity

This is my first post. I'm from North East PA. and I'm looking for people who want to roll and do MMA. Been training here since 1991. I was reading the "throwdown" posts and I thought that it would be great to find some people who are of a like mind.

We have some events coming up....a workshop to explain our point criteria (its real different from BJJ) and show some technique Then in May, a grappling tournament.

In JUNE I'm taking some kids over to England, for an International contest, using the rules I mentioned before.

It's hard finding people that want to get on the mats. (a least around here).Especially girls. My daughters are the only girls I know that will roll. We have a tough time finding anyone, even boys, that want to do this.

I have a nice big facility...I would need someone to bring some mats, but we could make do with what I have.

Shug, your in Shippensburg? I am right down the road in Harrisburg/Carlisle. Budd, who also posts here, trains with me.

I sense a PA Throwdown on the horizon...

probably. TF and Djimbe live in Reading, and I'm fairly certain they might come down were there enough people. Where do you train man, I train in mechanicsburg, most of the people from your area are usually Min's students or Isshen Ryu. Not to many schools around that area

I train at Itten Dojo, in Enola. Aikido :) I am doing some informal grappling practice as well.

We have a guy up in Reading too, he trains with us.

Min is common up here, and there are a bunxch of Isshin Ryu schools. The Pai Lum folks are pretty prevalent too. Big school in HBG and Carlisle.
