I can speak even more to this, as there are other names on that list which are HIGHLY suspect in the martial art skill and rank department.
"Out of every hundred men, ten shouldn't even be there, eighty are just targets, nine are the real fighters, and we are lucky to have them, for they make the battle. Ah, but the one, one is a warrior, and he will bring the others back." -- Hericletus, circa 500 BC

The Korean Judo Association state that his claim regarding a 9th Dan in Judo cannot be verified:

"According to the Korea Judo Association, no such promotion was issued to Mr. Joseph F. Connolly. Therefore his claim is not true."

    Sincerely yours,

    Kiel Soon Park, President
    Korea Judo Association in USA

But he IS listed as a 9th Dan on the United States Martial Arts Federation's webpage:

    Gene LeBell, 9th Dan
    Jim Harrison , 9th Dan
    Yoshito Vincent Tamura, 9th Dan

    Joseph Connolly II, 9th Dan
    T.R. McClanahan, 9th Dan

There cant be many people claiming to be Grandmaster in three seperate arts:

Grandmaster, (9th Dan [Degree of Black Belt]) in Judo, Korea Judo Association & Republic of Korea Yudo Association, Korea.
Grandmaster, (9th Dan) in Hapkido, Korean Hapkido Federation, Korea.
Grandmaster, (7th Dan) in Taekwondo, JungDoKwan Taekwondo, Korea

Only in the mind of Bruce Bethers; and later Phil Porter when he was kicked out of USJA... :new_astha

BTW; Lebell, Harrison, and Tamura are all legit guys, who this silly group gave rank to so they can "puff up" their roster.

Somehow I missed this whole thing (Damn you, internet filter at work that blocks bs.net!!!), and apparently it's well over and done with. But I'm still curious. Where does/did this guy teach in Orlando?
