    The Choking Game

    http://today.msnbc.msn.com/id/231660...and_parenting/

The kids probably get the idea from the UFC. Or they go to one BJJ class, and they're experts all of a sudden on the rear naked choke and they show it to their friends. It's a fucking shame. But whoever came up with cutting off oxygen to the brain, as being a game, is a fucking retard.

This "game" has been going on for at least 5 years (that's when I first heard about this game), and much much much longer if you just want to lump it in with erotic asphyxiation. It has almost nothing to do with UFC.

Been done even longer; heard stories about Judo guys in Japan doing it 40 years ago.

Longer; there was a post on this years back (forget if it was here or on MAP), and someone cited his grandfather as talking about doing the same thing when he was a kid.
Apparently, kids just love strangling themselves. It's natural.

The belief was that the "choke out" would be a fast way to rest and recover, and the "blood rush" after the choking would stimulate the brain. Not so sure about that.

Yes, there is the sexual aspect of it as well, lots of people have died from it.
