Cool, I really like this technique- we practice it reguarly at my school. Is there a name for this, like "sitting triangle" or something?

in pic 4, the guy is trying to pull on the crook of the elbow to break the guys hold.
Can't you break it a lot easier by using the bony part of you forearm (near your wrist)
against that same part of his forearm ?

I think this move is illegal in sport Judo, but I would have to ask Greese.

Excellent! That foils my armbars sometimes.... and I love doing the triangle, so this is perfect.

Ive only seen this variation where you get your right foot over and wait for them to turn in allowing the triangle.Never saw a guy scoot back over for it.
I love the triangle from mount. But not like this.I'll try it when my injuries heel.
Frankly I havent had a problem with getting a mans arm even if he grabs tight in years.I just reverse it into a bicep crush.I get my wrist deep into the inside of the elbow, put my palm on my other bicep. My free hand palms the back of his forearm and I do a deadlift like motion.Havent failed yet that I recall.I think it's my boney forearm/wrists.Same as with the guillotine.Sometimes they come in handy.I'd still rather have big manly ones though.

My only question is, what would you do if right about on picture 7 he wrapped your right knee tight and bucked/bridged against the back of the thigh while rolling to his left - to try to send you up over his head so he could slip out?
He might also try turning over and working the arm you were trying to bar over the leg to use it for a pig roll/wizzer. (using his leg instead of his arm) The bad thing is, this could result in him giving you the arm bar back or maybe even opening himself up for the RNC.
These are my ideas for a counter. Go ahead and shoot them down. I can take it. :p

My judo instructor showed us a different variation of the sitting triangle, and never mentioned anything about it being illegal (except for the usual caveat, you cannot pull down - or up, in this case - on the head. Then again, if you have trouble completing the choke, you can lean forward and pull a straight armbar over your stomach.)
Very nice move, by the way. I'll definitely try it.

Very good move... thats the move I got caught Chris with at the McThrowdown, except I reached behind his head and cinched it without getting on top.
