Lets see if we can get all the Sil Lim Taos from various Linages of Wing Chun together in one post, Etiher PM me a link or post me a vid of your Sil Lim Tao below and I'll update the main post to include yours :)

You know this is going in YMAS right? We had one attempt at describing differences in chun and it got ugly. Lesson learned.

My intent wasn't so taht we could bash each other's Sil Lim Tao, it was so we could look at each one and see what Chun around the world is like.....

Unless your suggesting its inevitable that this will end up being a chun vs. chun thing....

Let's be fair here: No one wants to watch a 1/2 hour+ video of someone standing there doing the first part of the form as it should be done when not filming, followed by 45 seconds of the next two parts.

Combined with the student's other interaction, the video is more than enough for his teacher to determine where he's at with his studies.

Here is my Sifu demonstrating the siu leem tau we practice in swansea. It comes from some people that were teaching in london in the 60s.

I found this video of an older version of the siu leem tau whilst looking on youtube. Originally there was only one form then leung jan broke introduced the 3 forms for teaching. Something interesting to note is that some of the stances are forward weighted and there is no leaning backward unlike some modern wing chun.
