The human body, regardless of sex, age, race... may likely be labeled one of the three following:
This has more to do with bone structure and body frame than to muscle
lean, slender ppl would be right there
those people have a hard time building muscle, requiring lots of daily meals
with such body frame, they are well suited to speed, flexibility and coordination
here you could find Murilo Bustamante, Emin Boztepe, Ted Wong, Vincent Lyn...
those are the "stocky" people, short and thick limbs, heavy bones, muscles are not really defined but "hidden" under a layer of fat
names known to all: Gene LeBell, Richard Planas, Francisco Varcia, Fumio Demura... and JRR Tolkien Dwarves
some say the luckiest of all
muscular, ripped, compact and muscular, all built upon a heavy bone structure
Quinton Jackson, Jerome Lebanner..., you name it
so where do you fit in?

does your body genetics (meso, ecto, endo...) condition your hability in your chosen MA?
well of course it does, but should you turn on Judo/JJ cuz you are an endomorph even when you are a passionate of, say, savate?

at 5'5 152 i'm leaning towards endomorph, although i don't have that much fat, i'm not really cut either. i do look musclar and bulky though. when my brother and me used to wrestle, we ALWAYS looked a lot smaller than our opponents... even if we were losing lots of weight. i think we have heavy bones or something.

I'm probably an ectomorph (6'1''--190).

I totally disagree is better suited to speed and coordination.
Speed comes from fast twitch muscle fibres which are in far greater abundance in the mesomorph.
Hence the fact sprinters are generally mesomorphs, not tall lanky guys :)
I don't think coordination has anything to do with the basic 3 categories of body types.

What if you have an exoskeleton and retractable mandibles?

You usually aren't just one. You tend to be more of a split (ie: 30% endo, 70% meso).
I'm thinking I'm a endo/meso split of some variety (5'9, 175-180). What do you think?
Maybe I'm just a fatass =P

I have an intense hatred of mesomorphs.
People tell me its jealousy, but I much prefer being tall and lanky with the inability to put on large amounts of muscle mass.
