Care to explain? Cain's got better wrestling, I suppose, but I don't think he'll be able to GnP him for very long.

Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira vs Cain Velasquez
Wanderlei "The Axe Murderer" Silva vs Michael "The Count" Bisping
Joe "Daddy" Stevenson vs George Sotiropoulos
Keith "The Dean of Mean" Jardine vs Ryan "Darth" Bader
Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovic vs Ben Rothwell

With the ongoing debate about the usefulness of a closed guard in MMA this will be an interesting match up. My money is on Nogueira via Submission.

I also think Bisping is gonna win by accumulated tippy tappy shots of no real substance.

Sotiropoulos vs Stephenson is another 'Jits vs Wrestler' match up and my money is again on the Jits guy.

Im excited to see Bader fight again i think he has the potential to be one of the best LW's in the division.

Also Mirko please start knocking people out again you useless Croat!! You used to be soooo awesome.

I'm new to MMA so forgive me if this sounds retarded, but...

I'm a little worried about Stevenson vs. Sotiropoulos. This is the first time the UFC has come to Australia and Sotiropoulos is, of course, Australian, and probably one of the better MMA fighters Australia has produced.

If Sotiropoulos loses there could be a bad reaction from the crowd. I would hate it if people start thinking Australians are bad losers because of a few drunken bogans.

    Anyway, vagina bleeding whine over.

I'm looking forward to Jardine vs Bader. When UFC Wired started to air on One HD, an all sports channel in Australia, it was the first time I was able to start watching MMA, and Jardine vs Liddell was one of the first fights I saw on it.

I really liked Jardine's strange striking style and the way he seemed to be a bit of an underdog rising to the challenge of a very formidable opponent.

Of course on a later episode they showed his fight against Wanderlei Silva, but we wont talk about that. :lookround

Best of all this will be broadcast on One HD, so it will be the first full UFC event I'll have seen.

Evil Solvalou: A bad reaction from the crowd? Pfft. If George loses, he loses to a better fighter, I doubt very much that an Australian crowd would be any different to any other country that has their favourite fighter lose.

i.e. I didn't see any bad reactions when Silva beat Franklin again in his home town.

All I hope is that Australia doesn't boo like a bunch of drunken twats because the fight isn't "exciting" ... pfft.

I think that Nogueira will win it, though I kinda want to see Cain win it to take on Brock. Of course Nog and Brock would be fun too. I'm so conflicted!

And whoever said Crocop loses by broken spirit is right. It's sad and hard to watch one of your heros go down this long, tragic slide. But hey, I'll be pulling for a CC win even if I think it wont happen.

Why the hell is Crocop even fighting still?

He said after his last fight he didn't think he wanted to be there anymore.

I don't care what happens or what you fuckers say. I will always root for Cro Cop. Forever and ever I will root for Cro Cop.

    He is a fucking hero.
