Man, that sux bad! I kept replaying it and trying to see the point of injury. Good thing you had the shoes on huh? May have been worse. Hope you get well soon, and don't need surgery, fusion, or ORIF. Keep us posted.

Thanks guys...
The lesson is respect your body when you are tired! This was one of those "one more before I rest" situations...LOL. Rule: If someone says "just one more", don't do it! That is always when the injuries happen.
ER doc thinks I may be able to avoid surgery. We will see what the orthopedist says tomorrow. The fibula is broken in 2 places, but the bones have stayed nice and neat...right where they belong. I'm wishing you a speedy recovery, but take your time before sparring/training again. It's better to rest a month longer than a month shorter with these type of injuries.
(I had my fibula head broken off while rolling Bjj in also a "one more before quits" scenario, so I know your pain...)
