    Hell yeah! Hell no!
I stayed only a couple weeks when I was a kid in the summertime.
it was cool because they had like a cheerleader camp where young girls from all over CA would be staying there. It was heaven for a 14 yr old boy.
I would probably get annoyed if i lived there as an adult though.

During my freshman orientation the cheerleader camp was going on, met some of the instructors (made me wish I'd gone to ASU) at the Grad. I thought all of Davis was going to be like that.

    Imagine my disappointment.

I always thought it was a neat little town, but a terrible place to go to college. Don't get me wrong, though. UCD is a great school, it's just Davis that sucks. I met some of my best friends at UCD.

Have you been back since you left, Doc?

I only left a few months ago.

I really enjoyed partying, living and going to school in Davis (in that order).

The bars are too much of a mob scene these days, not enough places for the number of people, particularly since the paragon (aka froggy's) stopped taking the overflow greek geeks.

The only bar I spent much time in was the Grad, but I know every other place was packed, too. People would drive out to Sac or Vacaville to go drinking. Damn city council never issued any permits to build anything in Davis. I'm sure you've got your share of watering holes in Reno, tho.

Quote: While the paleolithic diet is a pretty good idea, it's important to remember that primitive man only had a selection of maybe half a dozen different food items. Do you think it's healthy to survive on this or on a diet with a greater amount of diversity (re: nutrition)?

Actually that is false. Paleo man in non-Ice Age times had access to over 180 varities of kinds of wild fruits and veggies.
Go to the site www.beyongveg.com for the sources. That site refutes all vegan lies about early human diet with links to peer reviewed studies. The problem with the Paleo diet is not that it isn't good for you, its that it can't really be done in the modern world. When has the last time you hunted game? Gathered wild fruits, wild veggies, wild nuts, and wild berries? Try Never!

If people eat lots of fruits and veggies, lean meat, very little starch, didn't eat sugar (sucrose, high density corn syrup, lactose) and also trained HIIT. They won't be fat or unheathly. Period! End of argument.
