VIDEOS!
YouTube- April 2010 Tucson Throwdown: thoughtcrime vs. Ed
Wherein thoughtcrime rolls with Ed Torrejon, proprietor of the Sixth Street Gym. There were a few more rounds of rolling between the two not recorded.
YouTube- April 2010 Tucson Throwdown: IronCastKnight vs. Metarat
Wherin I spar with Metarat for the first time, and learn the value of keeping my hands up for, like, the thirtieth goddamn time. Maybe this time I can try to remember it, at least until I get punched in the head again and forget.
YouTube- April 2010 Tucson Throwdown: IronCastKnight vs. Metarat Round 2
Wherein I spar Metarat for the second time, suffer slightly less of the getting KTFO'd and inflict slightly more of the shoulder lock. Also, KNEES.
YouTube- April 2010 Tucson Throwdown: IronCastKnight vs. thoughtcrime
Wherein I get Americana'd by thoughtcrime and learn the importance of whining less about how falling asleep at the wheel because I got five hours of sleep sucks and attending wrestling class more, goddamn.
Not shown were just as many, if not more, rounds of Eric_H punching people in the face, grappling, and generally being an awesome _unner, due to his organization's restrictions against video.
So a big thanks to everyone who showed, as, while it may not have been a big one, it was a throwdown. It definitely inspired me to train harder, and also do more cardio. A lot more cardio, goddamn. Possibly also figure out how to block headpunches in a fashion not previously belonging to eight year old girls. -

Ironcastknight, thanks for getting this together and posting the vids. Also thanks for abiding by my association's restriction on video, kinda sucks for things like this, but i understand why they do it.
When are we doing the next one? We had talked somewhere between 1-2 months, does early June work for everybody? -

You're welcome!
No more video from ME, until I find the Fountain of Youth!
Or at least, the Fountain of Cardio.
AND, you bullies made me give up Tai Chi! I'm subbing a half hour to an hour of roadwork for waving my hands in the air, at least until I stop looking like a certain UFC heavyweight. Happy?
So, two shins to the cojones, my midlife crisis painfully splayed on the internet for all to see, where's the throwdown badge?!
