Judo is much cooler than BJJ, although I've done much more BJJ than Judo, it just looks a hell of a lot more spectacular.
I call it JJJ because BJJ's so prevalent nowadays and I don't want to misrepresent myself. If I say I'm a blue belt in jujitsu (which I am), I don't want people thinking I'm a blue belt in BJJ (which I'm not). -

Re necro-ing this to add a bit more info. I hold a 2nd dan with the WJJF and was a 1st when I started BJJ and I was at "muscle through the poor technique" white belt level. I picked up some of the techniques quicker but it was a 6 month-1 year head start (soon lost as I don't train enough).
Anyone (especially newer graded people) who just trains WJJF ju-jitsu will get it handed to them by someone of an equal level in Judo as there is normally no resistive training. I say especially newer as I noticed a dumbing down (McDojo motives) during my time.
There are good guys who train there and good coaches who know their stuff, but the standards demanded by the org are going down hill so for any individual club things will vary hugely due to the central quality control becoming effectively non existent.
When I was drifting away there was a new BB who didn't like being thrown other than "gently" even by guys lower graded and smaller than him. Being on here more frequently at the time and training at a BJJ/MMA gym in parallel meant this sped up my departure."This won't hurt me a bit..." - My training partner.:new_astha
