Combined rules for Judo + BJJ?
What do you guys think would be a good set of rules for Judoka and Sport JJ guys to compete together under?
I'm thinking that Judo rules with much more time on the ground and no pins would be pretty interesting. Obviously one throw (ippon) couldn't end the match maybe ippon is only a half point and you need good ground control to get the other half? Also some rule or point change to keep people from recklessly pulling guard.
What do you think? Would it be possible?
Try to ignore the political obstacles.

Would lead to something very similar to the BJJ we have now, probably. (Unless the mats are replaced by concrete to make KOs by throw more likely. But we don't want that, do we?)
Give lots of points for good throws, less for positions. Like, 5 points for an "ippon" throw, 2 for mount, 3 for back mount. Subtract a point for passivity (pulling guard, turtling). There are no wrong threats, only wrong answers. (Strategy game truism)

I think BR is on to something. How many points to win though? Or would it be a time limit?

No points encourages reckless guard pulling in my opinion. That kinda takes the Judo out of it...
