Jackie Chan once shot a movie here ' who am i?' and i have it from someone who was present on the set he was a bit of a dick with some of the actors/stuntpeople (not his regular team).

so much for honour and respect.

He's really particular about his stunts/fight choreo. I saw a behind-the-scenes bit for that movie where he was chewing out the tall guy (Dolph Lundgren, maybe?). Eventually, he just brought in the guy from his team to the segment. I don't know if it makes him dishonorable or disrespectful, he just wants his vision to be fulfilled, as most directors do.

Jackie Chan is almost always a reluctant killer in his movies, and usually only kills the leader of the bad guys (who has killed a bunch of people himself first). As far as action stars go, he's very low murder-rate.

And his opinions about ground-and -pound probably come from an assumption that a downed enemy is at a disadvantage. And in a fight where 'soccer-kicks' and such are allowed, isn't that actually true?

Skip to 6:30, I think this was what Lebell was talking about. It wasn't Dolph, it was Ron Smoorenburg.

Who Am I is one of the best Jackie Chan movies ever. It has both his best fight scene ever (that rooftop scene) and some of his coolest stunts. The acting is terrible. But it's action porn, so who really cares?

Unless someone can correct me, I think that was the last really good movie he made. I actually thought RH3 was decent, but not "really good."

While the movie is wierdly rediculous, the fighting scenes in "Gorgeous" are amazing.
