Thread: Jackie Chan Speaks on MMA

He killed people on a level of Jet Li in the beginning of his career.
Now, in hindsight, my assumption that a super action ninjer hero who has engaged in (presumably), hundreds of fight scenes across dozens of cinema spectacles, MIGHT have off-ed somebody-looks pretty fair. Can I say...Booyah?
Obviously it was not that hard for my friends here to rebut the posture that Jackie is murderless (or low murderous) from memory alone.
Thank you fellas for sweet vindication!
Of course the ever knowledgeable Mr. JudOWNED has in-depth info as a fan, that Jackie does try to moderate his killins.
Very judicious of him.
Sorry, only gloating because I dont like assumers, especially when its me, and I need post count...whore!

The fight with Superfoot Wallace is really cool." If one wants to have a friend one must also want to wage war for him: and to wage war one must be capable of being an enemy." - Fr. Nietzsche 'On The Friend' Thus Spake Zarathustra

I think his movie portrayals does not discount his statements, I think his statements fail on their own. Using kicks in a fight has been considered "dishonorable" by some cultures. Fighting professionally (versus amateur) has been considered "dishonorable" or at least questionable. I think what he said is an opinion I simply disagree with. Also, the comments seem directed at the sport and doesn't directly insult individuals so I am not worked up about it.
1/27/2010 6:55am, #117I was polite when I realized the possibility that Jackie, like a no kill shelter, or old G.I. Joe cartoons where everyone gets out and has a parachute, MIGHT have a policy of not doing or showing killing.

it's dishonorable to fight with a woodchipper from the bottom.

How would you do that...exactly? Would you have it flipped upside down or...or what?
