Watch some of Jackie Chan's really old movies like "Fearless Hyena" and one he did in the 80's called 'The Protector' with Bill Wallace ...he kills Big John Studd in that one , shoots him about 8 times in a really bloody scene. If you can get the uncut version, that is.
The fight with Superfoot Wallace is really cool." If one wants to have a friend one must also want to wage war for him: and to wage war one must be capable of being an enemy." - Fr. Nietzsche 'On The Friend' Thus Spake Zarathustra -

I think his movie portrayals does not discount his statements, I think his statements fail on their own. Using kicks in a fight has been considered "dishonorable" by some cultures. Fighting professionally (versus amateur) has been considered "dishonorable" or at least questionable. I think what he said is an opinion I simply disagree with. Also, the comments seem directed at the sport and doesn't directly insult individuals so I am not worked up about it.

Jackie has claimed to always try and make his movies more family friendly. That is why he often plays the reluctant hero, or will fight to arrest/bring in the badguy rather than, say, deliberately kicking him through a plateglass window in a highrise building. But he's never been like GIJoe or the A-Team. People die in his movies. Shoot, in Rumble in the Bronx/Canada, which is one of his cheesier movies, some dude gets fed into a woodchipper and brought home in a garbage sack! lol It wasn't done by Jackie, but still...I was polite when I realized the possibility that Jackie, like a no kill shelter, or old G.I. Joe cartoons where everyone gets out and has a parachute, MIGHT have a policy of not doing or showing killing. -
