2 things.... Colin ward isn't a grandmaster but he is a master..anyone who knows who ip chun is (most knowledgable martial artists) and colin ward is one of only a hand ful of his senior and certified master students.
the apology / clarification was made before the fight by the organisers to let people know Kasim Khan had no affiliation to Colin Ward and had actually never been trained by him.
I found it really funny at the time to be honest ... you'd have to be a looney to fight such a Champion at karate and only pretend you had anything like the skill to even stand a chance.
