K-1 Battle of Britain 2004

K-1 04 will be staged at Wolverhampton Civic Hall on the 22nd February... Karate v Kung Fu under K-1 Rules. Karate athlete, Paul Newby will face Wing Chun Specialist Kasim Khan. Khan is eager to prove that Wing Chun can also be used in a competitive situation in the K-1 ring.

If he throws a high kick is it still Wing Chun? Seriously at what point is he "breaking" the rules of WC? Or is just using WC "strategies" enough?

It will probably look like Kickboxing because K-1 is a kickboxing league.

My question is how he's going to use Wing Chun's signature trapping with boxing gloves on.

Is it even legal in K-1 to trap somebody's hands? Or is the reason that I haven't seen it because it doesn't work? ;)
