In my view, any claim to have medalled in the world championships of a sport with a well established, legally recognized system of amateur competition (ie: Wrestling) is false unless the claimant won his or her medal at the recognized world championship event. There is a similar issue with the Scott Sonnon thread, wherein Scott claims an "International Championship" for winning a single San Shou match at one of Liu's smaller events. San Shou has officially recognized world amateur championships as one of two sports organized under the International Wushu Federation (IWUF). I don't see any wiggle room for people claiming "Olymipic Boxing champion" for winning the Olympic House Of Pizza invitational.
